Teen Clinic

Teen Clinic will be open today. Located in Rm. 265.
 
Student Council
Friday is teacher appreciation day. Teachers will dress like students and students will dress like teachers. Send your photos to the Student Council Instagram page for grade wars points.

 

HSAP and C.E. 

Students interested in or enrolled in Credit For Employment or High School Apprenticeship can meet with Ms. Rubenik on Thursday May 9.  Email [email protected] or see Ms. Davies in the library to schedule an appointment. 

 

HLC

Will be closed today after school.

 

Math Assistance

As second semester comes to an end, we recognize some students may be feeling stressed about math grades. You are invited to the math help center in room 275 with Mrs. Coombs. The math help center will be held for the remainder of the term on Fridays during Per. 4.  Drop in's welcome, come and go as you please. Please see Mrs. Coombs if you have any questions. 

 

Beach Volleyball Meeting

There will be a Beach Volleyball meeting TODAY at 11:45 in the MPR and 12:55 in the Bear Pit for all the students who signed up for Beach Volleyball and are interested in competing in this year's Volleyball Manitoba 2024 High School Beach Volleyball Championships. If you cannot attend, please see Mr. Schmidt on Monday.

 

Boys Golf Team

If you are interested in trying out for the boys golf team this year. please sign up in the office. Tentative date is Wednesday May 29. A meeting will be held closer to the date.

 

Girls Golf Team

If you are interested in signing up for girls golf, please sign up in the office asap. You must have experience golfing.  See Mrs. Goodine if you have any questions. 

Recreational Basketball

Open basketball will be Tuesdays from 3:45-5pm.  All students are welcome. 

 

MB Summer Games Referee Clinic

Here is your chance to become a Referee for free!

Dauphin Soccer Association with The Manitoba Soccer Association are offering a free referee clinic:

 

When: Saturday May 11 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Potential Grad Info. 

 

Scholarships

Block 2 scholarships have be added to Teams and the Scholarship Calendar on the DRCSS website under Parents and Students. They are due May 16th at 12:00 PM (noon). Email [email protected] or see Ms. Davies in the library if you have questions.

 

Potential Grad Meeting

Reminder to potential grads that nominations for valedictorian are due Wednesday May 8th at 3:30 pm. Please hand them in to the office. Voting will take place in the office on May 15th and 16th.

 

Baby Photos

Grad's that still need to submit baby photo's, please submit by May 10th to Mr. Cote in room 180 or email the picture to [email protected].

DRCSS Badminton The Clippers Badminton team travelled to the MHSAA Provincial Badminton Championship in Winnipeg this past weekend! Brennan Lippens and Kayleigh Roulette went 2-4 in round-robin play, and Ashley Korney and Lindsey Korney went 1-5, but neither team advanced to the playoff round. Tylee Rudkavich and Delanee Szymesko went 5-1 in round-robin play, which advanced them to the playoff round on Friday. They went on to win their next two matches, putting them in the semi-finals. The Clippers played well in their next two matches but lost both and finished 4th at this year's provincial championship! Congratulations, Clippers!  Reminder there will be a yearbook badminton photo taken in the gym today at the beginning of Per. 6.  All players are asked to please attend and wear your badminton jersey.

 

DRCSS Rugby 15s The DRCSS Clippers boys' and girls' Rugby 15s were back in action this past week on the road. The girls beat Swan River 94-0 and Vincent Massey 95-0, while the boys lost to Crocus 45-14.  

Good luck to the teams as they take on Crocus Plains today after school.  Also when you come out and support the team, please wear green!

 

DRCSS Baseball—The Clipper Baseball team started its season this week with two home games at the Vermillion Park Sportsplex. The Clippers improved over the two games but lost both.  Good luck to the team on Wednesday as they travel to Ste. Rose.
