Applicant must
- have a complete Grade XII,
- must be entering their first year of post secondary study in an eligible field (post secondary studies in Human Ecology, Agriculture, Human Nutrition, Environment, Food Science, Agriculture Engineering or Veterinary Medicine (applicant may be entering University 1 with the intent to pursue a degree in one of these areas), a university diploma in Agriculture, community college diploma in agri-business, vet technician or other agriculture related course including apprenticeship programs at any post secondary educational institution in Canada or the USA),and
- must have their permanent residence in communities within the geographic area including the Rural Municipalities of Dauphin, Ochre River, Mossey River, Ethelbert, Ste. Rose, Alonsa, Gilbert Plains, Grandview, McCreary, Lawrence or Mountain, the unorganized territories of the Waterhen area or Crane River area.
