The Hon. Cliff Cullen, Minister of Education, has proclaimed Monday, Oct. 25th as Manitoba School Library Day. The theme of the day is "Reconciliation and the Library Learning Commons: Every Child Matters." In celebration of this day, schools are encouraged to participate in the Manitoba School Library Association's "Drop Everything and Read" challenge.

On Oct. 19, 2021, Manitoba Public Health officials advised the DRCSS of at least one confirmed case of COVID-19 in the school on Oct. 15, 2021. For further details, please click on the link. In honour of School Support Staff Recognition Week (Sep. 27-Oct. 1, 2021), as proclaimed by the Minister of Education, a sincere "thank you" is extended to all support staff in MVSD for the valuable work they do in our schools and in supporting the education of our students!

The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation is hosting a variety of free online events from Sep. 27 to Oct. 1 to support our collective efforts toward understanding truth and reconciliation. Within Mountain View School Division, this year for the first time, September 30th will be observed as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
