On June 4, 2021, MVSD was notified of 3 new cases of COVID-19 associated with the DRCSS; however, the individuals were NOT present in the school during their period of communicability (POC) and there are no school-related close contacts. Due to the recent increase in positive COVID-19 cases in the Dauphin and surrounding area, Manitoba Public Health has advised that Mountain View School Division transition all schools in the City of Dauphin to full remote learning for a two-week period. The DRCSS will be transitioning to remote learning effective May 26, 2021 until June 9, 2021 inclusive, unless a decision is made to extend the period of remote learning (after consultation with Public Health). On May 9th, Minister of Education Cliff Cullen and Provincial Medical Officer of Health Dr. Brent Roussin announced further measures in schools to reduce community transmission of COVID-19. Please click on the link for more information on how this impacts schools in Mountain View School Division.
